Stone Oven Wholesale Bakery is a leading Cleveland-based artisan bread bakery. We have two positions for which we are hiring:
OVERNIGHT MIXER
Do you have experience mixing and shaping dough? Would you like to work an overnight shift 4-5 nights a week? Are you looking to be part of a company that provides artisan bread to some of Cleveland and Columbus’s top restaurants, cafes and grocers?

We are looking for someone who has worked with commercial mixers to mix hundreds of pounds of dough each night. Duties also include shaping the dough and packing the finished bread product and typical kitchen cleaning up. We provide the paid training as long as you provide the ability to lift 50 pound bags of flour and enjoy working as part of a team. Also important is a proven ability to excel at paying attention to detail.
Starting hourly wage is $17.00 – $17.50

DAYTIME MIXER AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT
This employee would create dough during the daytime for the night shift to bake into bread, as well as take customer orders over the phone and enter the orders into the bakery database system. This job would be approximately 30-40 hours per week Sundays – Thursdays from about 7:00am – 3:00pm.
Responsibilities include physical mixing as well as customer phone and computer work:
- mixing flour, water, yeast, and other dough ingredients.
- operating commercial mixers and bread slicers
- following recipes and measuring accurately
- Cleaning: kitchen, equipment, packing/slicing area, etc. including compliance with food safety standards.
- Prep work that includes but not limited to… cutting asiago cheese, preparing “soakers” for our multigrain bread, and assembling boxes.
- answering phone to take customer orders in professional manner
- entering information accurately into bakery database
- Work experience preferred include work in a commercial bakery or kitchen setting in which candidate successfully followed recipes. Experience in a bakery, pizza shop, soup, brewery, or similar environment, for example, would be ideal. However, we are more than happy to train the right employee who has exceptional work ethic, a positive attitude and is eager and willing to learn
Required skills include: understanding of weights and measures, basic arithmetic, detail-oriented, basic computer & phone skills, positive attitude, ability to lift 50 pound bags of flour approximately waist-high and pour contents multiple times.
Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
